Recognition for the award was for Post 403's support of the State Cemetery located near Van Meter and all the activities the Post does to support the Cemetery for veteran military honors, flag set-ups for Memorial Day, Veterans Day, Fourth of July, parking for special events of MIA (Missing in America) committals, Wreaths Across America, initial Cemetery ground breaking, building of signs, thawing out of ground for burials in winter time periods, raising and lowering of flags when requested by Cemetery staff for holiday situations ---
